Job Description Job Description Santa Ana, CA : Quotations Administrator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations for all products, non-standard items, and services. This role focuses on analyzing customer requirements, coordinating internally with various departments, and developing cost estimates to support sales efforts. While a basic understanding of purchasing is helpful, the primary function of this role is quotation preparation. Essential duties: Prepares and submits detailed quotations (foreign and domestic) based on information provided by customers, distributors, or sales representatives. Analyzes customer specifications, previous quotes, and market trends to develop competitive and profitable pricing. Collaborates with internal departments (e.g., sales, engineering, manufacturing, customer service, and management) to gather required data and confirm feasibility of custom or non-standard products and services. Coordinates with vendors and suppliers as needed to obtain up-to-date pricing or lead time data for inclusion in quotations. Maintains organized records of all quotations, including revisions and supporting documentation, to ensure consistency and accountability. Reviews historical pricing, customer purchase history, and current cost data to ensure quote accuracy and profitability. Tracks and follows up on submitted quotations, assisting sales and customer service teams with updates or clarifications as needed. Participates in ongoing product and industry training to stay current with market conditions. Interfaces professionally with customers, sales reps, and distributors to clarify quote requirements and timelines. Supports occasional purchasing activities as backup or in coordination with the procurement team (minimal involvement).
