The Lactation Consultant is responsible for lactation education and assistance. This includes: daily breastfeeding classes, one to one lactation assistance, telephone breastfeeding advice and triage as needed to the Lactation Consultant/Coordinator. The Lactation Consultant acts as a breastfeeding resources and advocate for the obstetrical, neonatal and pediatric staffs, lactation students and new mothers. Responsibilities will include sales of needed lactation items and pump rentals at the Citrus Valley Lactation Center.Job RequirementsMinimum Education Requirement:High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate of completion from an approved Lactation Educator program. Certification as an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).Minimum Experience Requirement:Prior in-hospital lactation assistance experience preferred. Bilingual preferred. Excellent customer service skills requiredMinimum License Requirement:BLS certification. IBCLC required.Delivering world-class health care one patient at a time.Pay Range:$18.85 - $25.92
