HourlyJob Shift: DayDescriptionThe Kid Zone Program Lead will
assist the Program Director in supervising the designated
department, focusing on health and safety, supervision, program
quality, operational effectiveness, and fundraising.Working
Hours:This full-time position (30 hours/week) requires some split
shifts and assistance with special events.Schedule:
- Monday - Saturday: 8 am - 12 pm
- Monday - Thursday: Split Shift 3:30 pm - 7 pm
- Closed SundaysResponsibilities/Duties
- Ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and standards
related to health and safety; conduct risk assessments; report
incidents promptly.
- Assist in directing staff work tasks during shifts, enforce
expectations, and model best practices.
- Support department reports and administrative tasks.
- Oversee Kid Zone operations, serve as manager on duty, enforce
expectations, and ensure daily checklists are completed.
- Model YMCA values while working with staff, volunteers,
members, and community partners.
- Address member/parent concerns, questions, or suggestions while
on duty.
- Perform all responsibilities professionally and ethically.
- Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum
Qualifications:
- First Aid and CPR certifications required within the first 60
days of employment (training provided by YMCA).
- Must be 18 years of age.
- At least 1 year of related experience and supervision
required.Skills & Abilities:
- Respond effectively to safety and emergency situations.
- Strong planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Windows/Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service and results orientation.
- Effective interaction across diverse cultures and at all
levels.
- Ability to work as part of project teams.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English and
