faculty is to effectively communicate with the students and help
them achieve their educational goals.Faculties at North-West
College are responsible for supporting student success by creating
an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs,
managing effective instructional activities, developing curriculum
courses, modeling employability skills, demonstrating
professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with
other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative
requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional
field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for
effective participation of the students.The faculty maximizes
retention of students toward the completion of their programs and
provides a fostering and proper educational environment so that the
students may derive the maximum benefits from the program for which
they are enrolled in.RESPONSIBILITY: This is a faculty position
directly reporting to the Campus Director.PERSONAL:Willingness to
provide a professional role model for studentsAbility to work
effectively with others.Demonstrates pleasant and effective verbal
and written communication.Demonstrates integrity and progressive
self-improvement.Responsibilities are to teach students the skills
needed to work in healthcare organizations, hospitals, clinics,
medical offices and health maintenance organizations. This program
covers areas such as:Introduction to Healthcare AdministrationThe
Global Healthcare EnvironmentAdministrative Technology Skills &
Office SkillsInterpersonal RelationsQuantitative PrinciplesBody
Function & TerminologySociologyHealth Care Advanced Computer
SkillsFUNCTIONS:Teaches and implements the total curriculum, as
assigned by, and under the direction andsupervision of your direct
supervisor.Responsible for teaching/instructing adult learners Life
Skills, Math, English and Medical Terminology.This individual
should also be able to instruct and monitor students while in their
typing class.Is instrumental in identifying individual and
collective learning needs of assigned students, being cognizant of
the physical, mental and emotional status of the learners.Maintains
records of student progress and performance, attendance and
grades.Prepares, administers, and grades, written and practical
examinations during course of study.Devises written lesson plans
and implements them through lecture, demonstration, discussion,
etc.Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly
or indirectly related to learning experience.Participates in
regularly scheduled meetings with Program Director or her
designee.Is responsible to assist the student to develop an
understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the
health care profession.Participates in the selection and
preparation of instructional materials.REQUIREMENTS AND
EDUCATION:Strong written and verbal communications skills
required.Strong Math and English Skills.Strong multi-tasking
abilities.High School DiplomaAppropriate professional
experienceTeaching experience requiredStrong oral and written
communication skillsStrong attention to detailPublic speaking3
Years of in-field experienceBachelor's Degree in Healthcare
