Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for Kitchen - Line Cooks and Prep Cooks in the city of West Covina.If you are a person seeking to work at a place that is growing, exciting, fun, and family oriented, then Porto's Bakery, Inc. is where you want to be!Starting pay is $15.75 per hour DOE.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year of previous kitchen experience as Kitchen - Line Cook and Prep Cook.Be able to work in a fast paced, limited space, high volume environment, paying attention to detail.Must be able to multi-task and have excellent time management skills.Must be certified in Safe Food Handling with an understanding of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, hygiene, and consistency (fresh products, safe foods, recipe adherence, cleanliness, etc.).Ensures that there be no cross contamination, improper food handling, and/or storage practices through proper training and supervision.Company DescriptionPorto's has gradually grown into five existing locations in Glendale, Burbank, Downey, Buena Park, and West Covina with a sixth location in Northridge on the way.In 2016 Porto"s took the number one spot on "Yelp"s Top 100 Places to Eat in the US."Founder Rosa Porto"s recipes and high standards continue to be carried on by her family, reflective of her motto "quality is the number one ingredient in everything we do."
