Concorde Battery Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to start a career working in the Quality Department as a Grid Casting & Assembly Quality Control Inspector. The successful candidate will be responsible for in process and final inspections. The Grid Casting & Assembly Quality Control Inspector is part of the QA team and is also responsible for general quality related tasks. The Grid Casting & Assembly Quality Control Inspector reports directly to the Quality Production Supervisor. Position Responsibilities: /n - Perform inspection of materials, processes and final product, per business need. /n - Inspects battery grids for compliance to specifications in a metal casting environment. /n - Performs inspection of battery subassemblies and assemblies. /n - Generates inspection reports according to AS9100 requirements. /n - Document inspection data into information systems. /n - Utilizes inspection tools including calipers, gauges and testing equipment. /n - Reads and interprets drawings, procedures and work instructions. /n - Identifies areas for improvement in inspection processes and coordinates implementation. /n - Comply with all safety requirements; participate in safety training/practices. /n /n Qualifications: /n - 1 years QA inspection experience using standard inspection tools including calipers, gages, etc. in a manufacturing environment. /n - Understanding of QA requirements, processes, practices and systems. /n - Demonstrated ability to work in team-based environments. /n - Ability to read engineering drawings to determine and measure features and tolerances. /n - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. /n - Software experience; Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. /n - Bilingual - English/Spanish /n /n Perks and Benefits: /n - Desired first shift schedule /n - Premium Health Insurance - $0 employee premium & $0 deductible /n - Company provided life insurance for all employees with $0 employee contribution /n - Dental /n - 10 paid holidays /n - 5 paid sick days /n - Accrued vacation /n - 401(k) /n - Profit Sharing /n - Frequent overtime availability based on customer demand /n /n This position description reflects the general level and nature of the job, and is not to be considered as all inclusive.
