8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the
Position Physical Therapist Traveler (Days) Position Summary The
Physical Therapist provides therapeutic evaluation and treatment
for patients in an inpatient acute care setting. The therapist
assesses functional status, develops individualized treatment
plans, and delivers interventions to support mobility, recovery,
and safe discharge planning. This role requires strong clinical
judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work
independently while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care
team. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy
evaluations for acute care inpatients. Develop and implement
individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and
functional goals. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve
mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Educate
patients and families on exercises, precautions, and discharge
recommendations. Document all evaluations, treatments, and progress
in accordance with facility standards. Communicate effectively with
physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary staff.
Participate in discharge planning by providing functional
recommendations and equipment needs. Maintain adherence to safety,
infection control, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
(Legally Required) Current and valid California Physical Therapist
License . Current BLS (AHA) certification. Minimum 2 years of
recent inpatient acute care experience required.
