Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Coder - Professional
(Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and assign ICD diagnosis codes, CPT codes, and
other charges based on clinical documentation
Understand and apply medical terminology, anatomy, physiology,
surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes
May be trained on reviewing documentation for Hierarchical
Condition Categories (HCC)
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of ICD, CPT, HCPCS courses, or coding
certification within one year of hire
Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding, Health Information
Management, or related field preferred
Experience in the medical field, medical records, or CPT and HCPCS
coding
Coding certification from recognized organizations required within
three years of hire
Certification at the time of hire preferred
