Job Description:

Job DescriptionCoordinate and participate in the recruiting and hiring of staff. Manage employment documentation, payroll, and employee benefit programs. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a cooperative work environment.Plan, conduct, document, and coordinate fire/internal disaster drills and external mass casualty drills. Maintain a professional appearance and develop enthusiasm among staff. Use feedback from surveys, evaluations, facility rounds, and leadership to identify educational needs.Organize and oversee in-service education programs for staff, including scheduling, implementation, and evaluation. Maintain records as per regulations and ensure staff competency through ongoing training. Conduct rounds to observe patient care and coordinate infection control programs.Supervise staff, including disciplinary actions, and ensure compliance with all forms and documentation required by health authorities. Participate in facility inspections and surveys conducted by government agencies. Provide direct resident care while maintaining confidentiality at all times.Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist with overall staff supervision and management.Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a valid RN or LVN/LPN license; BSN preferred.
  • At least 1 year of direct patient care experience in long-term care, plus 1 year of experience in nursing education planning and evaluation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care preferred.Skills and Licenses
    • Ability to read and comprehend technical and policy documents.
    • Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions.
    • Proficiency in mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, and ratios.
    • Strong problem-solving and interpretative skills.
    • Current RN or LVN/LPN license, CPR certification, and ongoing continuing education.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentRequires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Work environment is typically low to moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
