• Date: 2023-02-23 A 400+ bed Southern California non profit medical center Medical Center is actively seeking a Director of Pharmacy to join their growing healthcare organization.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director Clinical Pharmacy will oversee a Pharmacy Manager and a tight-knit team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. The Director Clinical Pharmacy will collaborate with clinical staff to answer questions and provide information regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosages, and storage of pharmaceuticals. The Director Clinical Pharmacy should be a strong communicator with ample inpatient hospital pharmacy experience. -The Director Clinical Pharmacy will work fastidiously to safeguard order and work persistently to improve processes and adhere to researched best practices and procedures. The Director Clinical Pharmacy will participate in Quality Assurance and Drug Use Evaluation programs and complete drug utilization reviews for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. As coach and mentor to the entire Pharmacy team, the Director Clinical Pharmacy will promote staff development and conduct employee evaluations to ensure that performance standards are met.The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for developing and administering all pharmacy programs, to ensure compliance, accurate distribution of drugs and other pharmaceuticals to patients. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for all Clinical Operations of the Pharmacy and also interacts with the Buyers to ensure quality and understanding of issues.The Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Director should be a comprehensive leader with a depth and breadth of acute care pharmacy experience leading multiple sites.
